4-Day Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara Safari
This is an exciting Safari that offers you the chance to visit the exceptional Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara National Parks. Considered among the most premium wildlife destinations in Kenya, these parks give you wildlife experiences like nowhere else in the world.
Lake Nakuru
On one Hand, Lake Nakuru is famous globally for the thousands of flamingoes that line its shores. The abundance of algae attracts a vast number of Flamingos that famously give the lake a pinky plumage. in essence, it is a thrilling destination for those looking for an African wild Safari adventure. Furthermore, the Park is connected to Lake Soysambu Conservancy along the southeastern border, representing the only remaining wildlife corridor to Lake Naivasha.
Wildlife
One unique factor of this park is the high concentration of wildlife. The park is home to thousands of African iconic animals including white and black Rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffe, hippopotamus, warthogs, baboons, waterbuck, and buffalos. You will enjoy hunting escapades from the park’s resident lions, cheetahs and leopards.
Masai Mara
On the other hand, the Masai Mara National Reserve is reputed worldwide for the annual wildebeest migrations. From July every year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, antelopes and zebra arrive in Kenya from Serengeti National Park. The wildebeest must survive the crocodile-infested Mara River to reach the fertile plains of Masai Mara. In December, the animals wander back to Serengeti National Park in preparation for the calving season which comes in February. This multi-species migration is one of the world’s natural wonders.
Intriguingly, Mara’s lives are a true reflection of the circle of life. The Wildebeest migration shapes the lives of most other species in the Masai Mara. Their arrival marks a time of feasting and prosperity for the reserve predators.
Wildlife
The Masai Mara hosts a high number of African games including lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo (Big Five), giraffe, ostrich, hyena, and impala, among others. The open savannah makes excellent game drives as animals can easily be seen in their natural habitat.
