Wildlife Richness

Olpejeta Conservancy is known for its conservation efforts and is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino). Along with that, it is a sanctuary for endangered species like the black rhino and the last two northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya where you get to see chimpanzees, in a sanctuary created to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market.

The rolling plains and grasslands stretching in the iconic Masai Mara are home to the savannah elephant, cape buffallo, wildebeests, the black-manned lion, the spotted and stripped hyena, the shy cheetah, the elusive leopard, zebra, Masai giraffe, hyena, warthogs, and plenty more. It is renowned  for the Great Migration. It is a prime spot for viewing vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, along with their predators, including lions, cheetahs, and topis.

The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains and is the continuation of the Masai Mara ecosystem. It offers exceptional game viewing year-round, making it a top destination that is worth visiting. The park covers an area of 14,673 square kilometers. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife, including a high concentration of predators and the rare black rhino. It is a photogenic paradise with a myriad of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Its natural variety and splendid beauty makes it a hot destination that should be on top of your list. It ranks highly not only because of the abundance of wildlife but also its significant archeological importance. There are remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors. What’s more? It is a home to an affluence of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor.

Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, providing an iconic African landscape. The park is a haven for other game species including giraffes, buffalos, gazelles, hippos, baboons, and the big cats. In addition, it is an ornithological paradise with over 400 bird species, flora, and some of the most soul-searing views in the continent.

Scenic Landscapes

A beautiful freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha offers boat rides to see hippos and bird species.

Ngorongoro’s crater’s lush, verdant floor contrasts with the surrounding arid plains, creating a visually striking environment with diverse habitats in a contained area.

Amboseli National Park’s open plains, wetlands, and acacia woodlands, framed by the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, provide breathtaking vistas, making it a place you should check out.

Both Kenya and Tanzania offer opportunities to interact with the Maasai people, learn about their traditional lifestyle, and experience their rich cultural heritage. Visiting local villages and markets provides insight into the daily lives and customs of the various tribes in the region.
